Great Milton Bellringers

Great Milton Tower is a member of the South Oxon Branch of the Oxfordshire Diocesan Guild of Bellringers.

The ringers practice on a Thursday between 7.30 and 9.00 p.m. and all visitors are welcome. There is also service ring on the third Sunday of the month between 10.30 and 11.00 a.m.

The present band of Bellringers was established in 1995 and the majority of them are still ringing today.

We would encourage you to browse the site as there are links to many interesting features that include the history of St Mary’s Church, the refurbishment of the bells in 2001 as well as our 317 year old turret clock that is the oldest in Oxfordshire. Click here to contact us E-mail:

The South Oxon Branch of the Oxfordshire Diocesan Guild of Bellringers was formed at Great Milton in November 1921 and is one of 15 Branches comprising the Oxford Diocesan Guild. It is bounded to the north by the Aylesbury Vale, to the east by the Chiltern Hills and to the west and south by the Rivers Thame and Thames respectively.
